Combination of sensitivity and foresight
Situated in the gently hilly landscape of Bechtheim, Johannes and Christian Spiess cultivate 32 hectares of vineyards in the Rhine-Hessian Wonnegau region, which, thanks to its unique location in the talc basin, offers plenty of warmth and fertile loess loam and limestone soils. The brothers' guiding principle is respect for nature, as they rely on reduced yields, consistent grape selection and sustainability in the vineyard, so that as little as possible is interfered with during winemaking.
