Der Geheimtipp aus Latium
The Federici winery is located near the ancient village of Zagarolo, southwest of Rome, on a hill of airy tufa. Since 1960, it has been run by members of the Federici family, who are committed to the traditions of the region. For example, the Cesanese grape variety, which is disappearing from the vineyards in many places in favor of international varieties, dominates the red wine sector. This grape variety produces dark, fruity wines with an elegant spiciness and amazing ageing potential.
