Château de Beaucastel
Three quarters of Château de Beaucastel's vineyards are located in the world-famous AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The reputation of this exceptional location precedes it for good reason: the terroir is characterized by the influence of the Rhône, which millions of years ago washed fragments of the Alps into the plain as a torrent, creating the characteristic pebble soils. With low rainfall, intense sunshine and large temperature differences, the microclimate also plays an important role. This is where the pebbles make their contribution to the success of each vintage: they store the heat during the day and release it to the vines at night. Château de Beaucastel is an impressive reflection of this terroir, with authentic and extremely long-lived wines.
