Unbeatable taste and typicity
The Salento peninsula of Salento in the south of Apulia forms the “heel” of Italy’s “boot”. Surrounded by 250 km of coastline it is in the heart of the Mediterranean, straddling the line dividing its East from the West. There, at the heart of the DOC Manduria lies the Surani estate, a young winery owned and run by the Pasqua family. The four Pasqua brothers left Apulia in the ‘20s and founded a wine cellar in Verona. 80 years later the next generation of Pasquas bought 80 ha of land in the DOC Manduria and planted vines there, including the Primitivo grape, reconnecting the family’s viticultural tradition and its origin.
