VDP.Weingut Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt

The epitome of Mosel, Saar, and Ruwer

With over 675 years of winemaking history, the Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt estate is one of Germany’s most traditional and renowned wineries. The fact that grapes from all 50 hectares of vineyards—spanning the Mosel, Saar, and Ruwer—are vinified in the cellar of the picturesque Schloss Marienlay sets the Reh family winery apart in the entire region. The focus is on Riesling from exceptional steep-slope sites such as Josephshöfer, Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr, and Scharzhofberger. A total of 15 VDP.GROSSE LAGEN, shaped by slate soils and unique microclimates, give the wines their unmistakable minerality, elegant fruit aromas, and impressive complexity. As a member of the VDP, the estate combines sustainable and gentle vinification with state-of-the-art cellar technology—preserving its time-honored signature style. The result: characterful Rieslings with strong terroir expression and outstanding aging potential.
