Connoisseurs. Artists. Creators of classic wines.
The Nik Weis St Urbans Hof Estate has belonged to a Mosel family that has been involved in viticulture for hundreds of years and has concentrated solely on its wine and vines since 1947. Nik Weis, grandson of the founder Nicolaus Weis, is the third generation of the family to run the estate. The incredibly diverse range of terroirs for which the estate has been famous all around the world for decades forms the basis of everything he does. With 40 hectares of vineyards growing on the impressive precipices of the Mosel and Saar valleys, the Nik Weis St Urbans Hof Estate is one of the largest privately run wine estates in the region. Nik Weis’s watchwords? Balance, balance, balance. When the natural residual sugars, the invigorating acidity, the sometimes salty, sometimes smoky minerality and the aromas of ripe fruits come together in the Riesling, they create a unique taste experience to delight any wine connoisseur. Nik Weis and his estate represent an elegant, subtle and highly expressive style that reflects the very best old and new world Mosel-Saar-Ruwer wines from the early 20th century.
