Collegium Wirtemberg

Cosmopolitan Neckar

In 2007 the Stuttgart Rotenberg (founded in 1936) and Uhlbach (founded in 1906) cooperatives merged to form the “Collegium Wirtemberg”. They managed 120 hectares of vineyards around the Württembergers’ ancestral mountain on which the former Queen Katharina von Württemberg’s burial chapel is located. Martin Kurrle is managing director and winemaker at the estate and has achieved wonders together with the committed, creative wine growers from the two cooperatives.
